Space Hire
Gateway Studio CIO provides multiuse space for arts-related and community
activities located in Gateshead Town Centre.
This includes two dance studios with Harlequin sprung floors, community rooms,
and one-off/long-term office spaces.
All hires will include access to a shared community kitchen.
Please note: Currently, the Trinity Centre community room is the only accessible space.

The Community Room
The Trinity Centre community room is an accessible space for classes, group meetings, music and or art-related activities that do not require specialized flooring.
This space is equipped with tables, chairs, and accessible toilets.

Studio 1
Studio 1 is 9.5 x 6.4 meters, perfect for all performance related activities.
The studio includes a plug and play sound system, a changing room, and separate toilets.

Studio 2
Studio 2 is 11.6 x 7.8 meters, ideal for larger performance related activities.
The studio includes a Vonyx Bluetooth sound system, separate changing rooms, and access to unisex toilets
Hire Rates
Commercial Hire: £30/hour
If your participants are paying to take part in an activity, this constitutes a commercial hire.
Standard Hire: £20/hour
If you have received funding for a project and/or your participants are not paying to participate in an activity, this constitutes a standard hire.
Partner Hire: £15/hour
We offer a reduced rate for partner hires. If you would like to know more about becoming a Gateway Partner, please contact us.
Independent Artist Hire: FREE
Studio Space may be available to independent artists free of charge subject to availability
