Our NSCD+programme will re-lauch in Spring 2027
GATEWAY Studio have teamed up with the prestigious Northern School of Contemporary Dance to launch a new and exclusive NSCD+ programme.
The partnership will nurture young talent through extra-curricular, out-of-school-hours classes for young people passionate about dance and movement. It aims to offer possible routes for progression to Higher Education for those keen to pursue a career in the arts.
Students receive a strong basic background in contemporary technique, develop their creative skills, and learn key performance skills.
Who is it for?
Students between the ages of 12 & 18 with a keen interest in dance.
Students completing the programme receive a recognised certificate of completion from NSCD.
Where?
Gateway Studio, Over the Road Studio, 224 High Street, Gateshead, Tyne & Wear. NE8 1AQ

Our classes will focus on developing both contemporary and classical techniques alongside composition, choreography and performance techniques.
Bursaries are available to support families for whom cost may be a consideration, so that no young dancer misses out on this opportunity.
