I’m Jenny Chrisp, a dance artist & facilitator based in the North East of England. After graduating from Dance City, I have worked with companies such as BalletLORENT, Surface Area Dance Theatre, TeesDance & Gateway Studio CIO, as well as being a facilitator at The Sunderland Empire as part of their Creative Learning Programme. I have also had work supported by Arts Council England under the name What’s That Dance, a co-created company, which has had work commissioned by Northern Stage, Dance City & Curious Arts. Most recently, my solo work 'sorry, are you lost?'  recieved a R&D Get Ready grant from Creative Central Newcastle & Northern Pride & has further been supported by Dance City, TeesDance & Moving Art Management. My creative pathway has shared stories of gender, relationships, queer experiences & most recently, motherhood. Throughout my professional career, I have kept the beliefs that dance is for all & should not be limited by age, ability or background, holding people & their experiences at its core.
